The Artist... (and how to get in touch)

Jessica E. Thompson is a traditional illustrator and a Sonoma County Native, whose work is rooted in a lifelong fascination with the natural world around her.

From a young age, she was drawn to animals, plants and the quiet details of her surroundings- often imagining the stories hidden in small, everyday moments that seemed to go unnoticed by most.

That early curiosity continues to shape her art today. Working primarily in dry media, watercolor and acrylic- with occasional ventures into oil- Jessica combines realistic detail with expressive linework and a narrative sensibility. Her style reflects a love of both fine art and character-drive illustration, influenced by the richly illustrated books that she grew up reading.

Jessica holds a BFA in Traditional Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her work explores the intersection of nature and storytelling, inviting viewers to slow down and look a little closer.
